Hospice of Southern Maine’s 5th annual Hike for Hospice will take place on Saturday, October 26, 2024. This uplifting event is open to the entire community and will be extra special as the organization celebrates its 20th anniversary. The walk supports their mission to provide end-of-life care to all patients and families, regardless of insurance coverage, ability to pay, housing status, or other barriers. With the support and participation of the community, the agency has successfully raised $245,000 over the past four years through this event.
In the morning, attendees can enjoy coffee, Holy Donuts, snacks, a kids’ scavenger hunt, and prizes. The walk starts at the Hospice Center on U.S. Route 1, then follows the Eastern Trail across the marsh. At the Pine Point Road parking lot, walkers can turn around or return to the start via shuttle. After the hike, enjoy live music, local beer and food, and lawn games.
This is a fun event for the whole family. You can walk in memory of a loved one or to honor someone special. Leashed dogs welcome.
