If you’ve been in your Scarborough home for years (or even decades), you’ve likely watched the town grow, change, and become one of the most sought-after communities in Maine. The latest numbers tell an interesting story – and one you may want to pay attention to if you’ve thought about selling.
This July, the median sales price landed at $710,000, with homes still moving quickly at a median of only 6 days on the market. Sellers continue to receive strong offers, averaging 102.3% of list price – proof that buyers are still eager to compete for the right home.
But here’s the part to watch: new listings and inventory are both down, and while demand remains high, the signs are showing that the market is shifting. Prices, days on market, and buyer behavior may look very different in the months ahead.
For longtime homeowners, this makes now an especially smart time to learn what your home is worth and where the market is heading. Your home may be one of the most valuable assets you own – and knowing when to act could make all the difference in your next chapter.
