Library After-School Policies

As the school year begins, Scarborough Public Library is preparing for one of our busiest seasons. We are proud to serve as an important after-school destination where young people can learn, create, and belong. We provide a safe and welcoming environment, and staff are available to assist when needed. However, staff are not responsible for supervising individual children, tracking attendance, or monitoring arrivals and departures. Families are encouraged to review our After School Information Guide, which outlines independent library use, age requirements, behavior guidelines, and other important information. Beginning in September, the guide will be available on the library’s website and in print at the library.
