Things to Do: Dec 2025 – Jan 2026

Join the fun! Crafts, fireworks, Santa, and more

Sip & Shop Scarborough | Friday, December 5, 4:30-7:30pm, Allagash Brewing Company

Join us for a cozy celebration of local talent at The Allagash Bungalow. Shop unique, handcrafted gifts from local makers, artists, and small businesses—just in time for the holiday season. This event is hosted in collaboration with the Group of Entrepreneurial Moms in Scarborough (GEMS).

Sparkle in the Park | Saturday, December 6, 5:00-7:00pm, Memorial Park

Bundle up the family and join us as we welcome Santa and Mrs. Claus to Scarborough! We’ll be getting in the holiday spirit with sweet treats, activities, music, fireworks, and more. Please make sure to arrive early if you want to see the fireworks and tree lighting before meeting with our guest of honor. Shuttles and walkways down to the park will need to pause for fireworks to ensure safety of attendees. Help us spread the holiday cheer by bringing a non-perishable food item to donate to the Scarborough Food Pantry.

Sustainable Yankee Swap | Friday, December 12, 12:00pm, Scarborough Public Library

Join us for a sustainable twist on the classic Yankee Swap! There will be one swap for adults and another for our afterschool teens. Participants are encouraged to think green—wrap up something gently used, regifted, creatively repurposed, or homemade. Bring your sense of humor, your sustainability spirit, and enjoy cookies, conversation, and a few surprises at this lively gathering. Other fun December programming can be found on the library website.

Gingerbread House Decorating Night | Friday, December 19, 6:30-8:00pm, Wentworth School Cafeteria

Leave the mess to us and enjoy a night of gingerbread house decorating to get in the holiday spirit. Gather the family and get creative by decorating a gingerbread house for the holidays! Decorating materials will be provided. Refreshments, treats, crafts, and more included. $10 per gingerbread house.
