The 13th annual Race 2 the Point will be held Saturday, March 23. This fun, all-ages walk/run community event features great prizes from local businesses. DeepDJ will once again donate their music services adding to the community party atmosphere. The race features prizes for every age group and three different lengths so even the youngest runners can join in.
Sharon Oslin, K-2 Parent Teacher Association (PTA) president, says the PTA is a vital resource that supports important enrichment activities such as field trips and visits from organizations including Chewonki and Mad Science. Teachers share each year that they appreciate the opportunity for these real world, hands-on experiences that inspire and engage their students.
K-2 parent and race committee member Maryella Fortier thanks local businesses, including this year’s presenting sponsor Allergy & Asthma Associates of Maine, whose sponsorships make the race possible. “These businesses support our children, and we couldn’t do this without them.”
Come join this fun community activity. More participants add to the fun and the funds to support Scarborough’s K-2 students. To learn more and register, visit Race2thePoint.org.
