Have you ever really craved food that you don’t have normally? Well, if that’s you, I have just the spot for you! It’s on Route 1 close to the school. It’s called Oishi, which in Japanese means “delicious.” The type of food that they have is sushi and hibachi. Sushi is seafood, rice, and vegetables but it is always presented very nicely. It’s combined into bite-sized pieces. Hibachi is grilled meat and vegetables and is very flavorful.
At Oishi, the lights are dim and they have music playing in the background. The tables are all set before you sit down and they are very clean. There is a nice waiting area if you are waiting to get takeout. You can even see them make the food that you are going to eat.

The menu has a ton of options, which means it took a long time for my mom to pick. Many things come with soup and/or salad. You get them before your meal. The soup comes in a small bowl with a unique soup spoon.
I got the maki combo. It was colorful and full of flavor. It consists of three sushi rolls. You can make it whatever spice level you want with the wasabi on the side.
My mom got the hibachi salmon. It had a flower on the plate and a nice presentation. It also came with sweet sauce.
My brother got the teriyaki bento box with beef. It came with fried shrimp, rice, and sweet steak. The steak was very tender. It came on a tray with compartments.
Kids would like that there are lots of choices at Oishi and they all come in different sizes. For example, if you get the lunch special you can choose how many rolls are in it. Adults would like that you can try something new every time you go. You can also get takeout on a night when you don’t want to cook.
Overall, I thought this was a great restaurant. And I’m not just saying that because sushi is one of my favorite foods. I would recommend it to people who love sushi and people who have never tried sushi before.
